The trip was highly productive, taking place at the University laboratories, and it held a special significance as the closing working meeting of the project.”

Last week, our star engineers, Katarzyna Siwek and Silvia Gailly, participated in the HYFLOW project (https://hyflow-h2020.eu/) meeting in Ravenna, Italy host by one of the partners, UNIBO. C2C-NewCap supercapacitor bank is now up in running, integrated with a redox-flow battery to provide a more efficient hybrid energy system. Now that the project is reaching its end, it was a great opportunity to come together, look at all the work that has been accomplished and foster future collaborations.

Electricity storage – a key component in a renewable energy system! 🌍 Our team members, Andreas Zauner, Eva-Maria Heigl and Stella Danner, were in Lisbon for a project meeting related to #HyFlow – development of a sustainable hybrid storage system based on high-power vanadium redox flow battery and supercapacitor technology. It is also home to #C2C-NewCap, which is responsible for the development and construction of the supercapacitor. As part of this project, we are conducting techno-economic and life cycle analysis for this innovative storage system. Curious to learn more about #HyFlow? On October 26-27th, C2C-NewCap hosted the 7th Hyflow project meeting, in Lisbon. HYFLOW is an EU-funded project that aims to develop sustainable hybrid energy storage systems, using redox flow batteries and supercapacitors, for an efficient energy management. The project gathers 10 partners around Europe, promoting a dynamic environment for knowledge and technology transfer.

Two weeks ago, we had the pleasure to welcome our HyFlow colleauges Marsalek Jiri and Jaromír Pocedič from Pinflow energy storage. They developed a redox flow battery suitable for integration into a hybrid storage system combining redox flow technology with supercapacitors. This way, large amounts of energy can be stored, while charging and discharging is available at a rapid pace. 🔋 🔌
